Meet Segun Akinrolabu

Segun Akinrolabu’s path into custom home building wasn’t a straight line. He spent years in Banking, then in Petroleum Geology with Royal Dutch Shell, before fully committing to what had always been the family business. His father developed residential and mixed-use properties throughout his upbringing, and Segun grew up watching land, drawings, materials, and labour turn into finished homes — and the livelihoods those homes made possible.

He began building his own projects while still working full time as a Petroleum Geologist, and eventually founded Arkadian Homes to do the work properly: as a Boutique Builder serving Calgary and the surrounding communities. His conviction is simple — a well-finished home is the baseline. What separates a good builder from a great one is how the home is delivered: disciplined project management, clear communication, and a relationship that doesn’t end at handover.
